#teddyartist: Joaquín La Habana

An homage to Berlin in the 1920s and 30s and its cabaret-scene. Joaquín La Habana displays his unique show talent as a voice-acrobat between baritone and soprano as well as a quick-change artist: men and woman in one. An energetic music spectrum between Spanish Paso Dobles and gay pop songs of those days.

#teddyartist: David Pereira

David Pereira‘s acrobatics took the varieté houses of Germany by storm. His impassioned performances in the air and on the ground combine physicality, dance, acrobatics and passion in a perfect Gesamtkunstwerk. Already at the age of 19, he got the idea to create his own show: “David Pereira’s Trip” became an institution at the Wintergarten in Berlin and has travelled to places like the Melbourne Art Center in Australia.

#teddyartist: Jack Woodhead

Jack Woodhead is a reincarnation of the cabaret in modern attire. His own show “Fish and Whips” is one of Berlin’s burlesque comedy must-see events. With flawless piano playing and grandiose singing, he always manages to walk the fine line between loud, funny, trashy tones and calm poetics.

#teddyartist: Jade Lee Petersen

He bends his body into virtually impossible positions: South African Jade Lee Petersen is one of the few male contortionists. He was discovered by the art pool BASE BERLIN, the first to bring him to Germany. In Berlin, he developed a rococo rock contortion performance with varieté producers Markus Pabst and Pierre Caesar. Before the audience’s eyes, multi-faceted images emerge between the person and his costume. The superlatively heterogenous elements of style blend together into a single unit, into the fascinating lines of a being effectively androgynous.
