Escand\u00f3n<\/strong><\/strong> was born in Mexico City and has been vice director, since 2005, of Festival MIX Mexico \u2013 Film and Sexual Diversity. He\u00b4s got a degree in Communication Sciences from the \u201cTecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey\u201d University and has diplomas in Film Direction and Screenwriting. He\u00b4s worked in the production area of \u200b\u200bfilms by Luis V\u00e9lez, Jaime Aparicio, Juli\u00e1n Hern\u00e1ndez, Roberto Fiesco, Ram\u00f3n Cervantes, among others. Under his heteronym Constantino Escand\u00f3n, he has written and directed the short films: <em>The Raven<\/em>, based on the poem by Edgar A. Poe (2000); <em>The Lonely\u202f<\/em> (2005); <em>Anonymous<\/em> (2006); <em>Lucio<\/em> (2006); <em>Philia<\/em> (2007); in 2008 he adapted the poem \u201c<em>Ma prison\u201d<\/em> by Paul Verlaine, to make the short film of the same name and in 2009 he made the short film <em>\u201cCerro de la Cruz\u201d <\/em>(with the support of the Mexican Institute of Cinematography) that was part of the \u201cOnde\u201d section of the 27th <a href=\"https:\/\/www.torinofilmfest.org\/en\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.torinofilmfest.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Torino Film Festival<\/a>; he recently wrote and directed the feature film <em>But infinite love will ascend in my soul<\/em> (work in progress). Under his heteronym Celad\u00f3n, he was the Director of Photography for the feature films: <em>Torments<\/em> (2008) by Alfredo Valencia, produced by Jaime Humberto Hermosillo and <em>Someone else&#8217;s skin <\/em>(work in progress)<em> <\/em>by Arturo Castel\u00e1n. Formerly trained as an architect and designer, Terdtoontaveedej is interested in the intersection of alternative (his)stories, creative practices, and cinema. She is a co-founder of Non Native Native, a cultural platform which looks into the Asian creative landscape in the Netherlands through the lens of outsiders from within. Melanie was recently appointed as Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birds-eye-view.co.uk\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.birds-eye-view.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Birds\u2019 Eye View<\/a> \u2013 a UK-wide charity with a mission to champion women &amp; non-binary-led films, to build a community for them through its #ReclaimTheFrame project, and to advocate for equity in all film spaces.\u202f&nbsp;                                                                                                                               Prior to this, Melanie was Deputy Director at <a href=\"https:\/\/sheffdocfest.com\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sheffdocfest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sheffield DocFest<\/a> 2014-2021, leading on the development of its arts\/interactive programme and co-programmer of its Rhyme &amp; Rhythm strand, and before that served as Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/bfmaf.org\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/bfmaf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Berwick Film &amp; Media Arts Festival<\/a> 2009-2014, commissioning moving image art and performances that went on to win awards at International Film Festival Rotterdam and beyond.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;         Melanie has served on several juries\u202fincluding <a href=\"https:\/\/nordiskpanorama.com\/en\/festival\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/nordiskpanorama.com\/en\/festival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nordisk Panorama<\/a> in Sweden, <a href=\"http:\/\/zagrebdox.net\/en\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/zagrebdox.net\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ZagrebDox<\/a> in Croatia, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ColomboIWFF\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ColomboIWFF\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colombo International Women\u2019s Film Festival<\/a> in Sri Lanka. Sasha is a Head of Programming at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kisff.org\/welcome-en\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.kisff.org\/welcome-en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kyiv International Short Film Festival<\/a>. Since 2018, she&#8217;s been one of the curators of the Sexuality Matters section, focused on LGBTQIA+ rights, women&#8217;s rights, gender identity and sex positivity. Sasha also curates the Teen Screen section at the <a href=\"https:\/\/molodist.com\/en\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/molodist.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival<\/a>. Since 2016, she has worked at the independent film distribution company, <a href=\"https:\/\/kyivmusicfilm.com\/home\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/kyivmusicfilm.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\" oversee awards rules, the Animation, Documentary and Short Film categories and the Producers Branch.\u202f He also helped to lead the Academy\u2019s A2020 membership diversity initiative and the modernization of voting processes, including efforts to ensure global member participation through the launch of the Academy Screening Room, the Academy\u2019s viewing Convenor<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Xena Scullard<\/strong> <\/strong> is a queer feminist activist, organiser and strategist. Xena has over a decade worth of experience working with queer and justice movements both locally within her context in SouthAfrica but also regionally and internationally. Xena is one of three co-founders and convenors of the first <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/QueerFeministFilmFestival\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/QueerFeministFilmFestival\/\" target=\"_blank\">Queer Feminist Film Festival<\/a> (QFFF) in South Africa which hosted it very first festival in 2018. QFFF consciously seeks to politicize intersectionality within our content curation and the ways in which we engage dialogue and art as a disruptive and generative tool for queer humans by queer humans. As a Senior Racial Equity Fellow under the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticfellows.org\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticfellows.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Atlantic Fellows<\/a> network, her work attempts tounearth and amplify the intersections between race, gender and justice. Xena currently works as an independent consultant with justice based organizations both regionally andinternationally.
