Excluded from society and family alike, queer people have fought their way back into the community.<\/p>\n This was a process leading from the extreme minority of activists (60s-70s) via a consumerist hedonism of many (80s-90s) to the equal rights level of today. After all, during this period struggle, the goal was – equality. Not much, isn’t it!? It’s a human right, no more, no less. \nQueer is an umbrella sheltering non-hetero people<\/p>\n
\nBut still, in most places on planet earth, this has not been achieved, and is still far from being achieved even in the near future. Torture and killing is what most societies come up with for their own queer population.
\nTo show the fight, to show the results, to show the process and the fun – and motivating not to give up ever as to strengthen our queer folks where needed – this is what we hope to support with our film programming: Welcome to a selection of Berlinale films!<\/p>\n

\nCurar Cine Queer desde los a\u00f1os setenta -y antes de que el t\u00e9rmino queer fuera usado de la manera que es usado hoy: como una representaci\u00f3n de una poblaci\u00f3n mundial de aproximadamente el 20%- he llegado a la conclusi\u00f3n de que el mundo LGBTIQ*, en varias maneras, se ha emancipado as\u00ed mismo de esa esquina donde estaba siendo secuestrado por la heteronormatividad.
\nLa comunidad queer, excluida de la sociedad, ha luchado a su manera para insertarse en su comunidad. Este fue un proceso liderado por una extrema minor\u00eda de activistas (60s-70s), a trav\u00e9s del consumo hedonista de muchos (80s-90s), para lograr la igualdad de derechos conquistada hasta hoy.
\nDespu\u00e9s de todo, durante este periodo de lucha, la meta era la igualdad. No mucho, \u00bfverdad? Un derecho humano, ni m\u00e1s, ni menos.
\nA\u00fan as\u00ed, en la mayor parte del planeta, este logro no ha sido alcanzado o est\u00e1 muy lejos de ser alcanzado en un futuro cercano. La tortura y las matanzas a la comunidad queer son un patr\u00f3n com\u00fan en la mayor\u00eda de sociedades.
\nLo que queremos lograr con este programa de cine es visibilizar esta lucha, mostrar resultados, el proceso y la diversi\u00f3n, motivar a que las personas no se den por vencidas y apoyar a nuestros amigos queer cuando sea necesario.
